Lush - “Self Preserving” Animation

At the end of 2022 I was asked by the animation studio Mummu to animate a short film about Lush cosmetics and their campaign to move away from using preservatives in their products. Frame designs were supplied as Adobe Illustrator files and a scratch voice over file. I then used the plugin ‘Overlord’ to quickly transition the vector objects to Adobe After Effects for animation. Using a combination of path animation, 3D and traditional techniques I was able to create the film.

Animation was done in Adobe After Effects with additional hand drawn animation by Katie Taysum and Dan Scarlett for the hands and arms.
