I’m Luke, a freelance 2D animator with over 15 years’ experience in After Effects, turning scripts, storyboards and rough ideas into polished, characterful animation. I’m based in York and work with agencies, production companies and brands across the UK and remotely worldwide.
I’ve worked with studios such as BLINKink, Partizan, Red Knuckles and Nerd, and agencies such as Omnicom and Havas to name a few. I combine a thoughtful, human-centred approach with clear communication and reliable results. After 15 years I know how to protect your deadline and your budget, and how to make the finished film look great.
In 2023 my animation won four NYX Awards, including the Grand Award for Animation, and a Gold Telly Award for Craft in 2D Animation. Lush - “Self Preserving” was produced by Mummu and animated by me in After Effects.
I offer full After Effects animation services from first idea to final delivery, including:
Music videos
Social media content
Explainer and brand animation
2D character animation and motion graphics in After Effects
